WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

The car was full.  We were on our way to the Winter Fair to man our booth.  We had chairs, cassettes, CD's, literature, you name it.  We came down our lane and kept coming down the hill out on the hill out on the street in our subdivision.  It just so happens there is a curve and a hill that drops off on the way out.  At least one person usually goes over every year.  I have already decided I don't plan to be the one that goes over.  Today, Terry was driving down.  Of course our housing addition doesn't maintain  the roads in winter much at all.  So, it was snow packed this morning.  As we came to the curve,  Terry realized that 20 mph or whatever he was going was too fast, but it was too slick to put on the brakes.  So, he tried to keep the front end straight but to no avail.  As we started to slide, I was just hoping he wouldn't go over the drop off!   He couldn't keep it straight at all, and we went for a ride.  We ended up going the exact opposite direction in which we started!  So, we drove back up the hill and tried it again!  Coming down, we met another car coming up, but thank God he had it in low that time, and we didn't slide again!
I don't think he ever touched the brakes, or acted scared.  I didn't say much either, but when I asked Robin what she said, she said, she said WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!  What a crazy child!

I love my kid

Mitch had been talking to me about making home made tortillas for his Spanish class, so the day came when they were supposed to bring food.  (yesterday.)  I got up and made the tortillas in time to get them there by a little before 10 AM.  You know how the stereotypical kid is embarrassed by their parents?  Well, I went to his class and he gave me this huge hug!  I just love my kids.  For some reason, we don't embarrass them.  Can't figure that one out.  Is that what you are saying?   HA!  Well, I had a photo, but blogger won't upload it.  Maybe later. Well, I finally got the photo to upload, and yes I know it is wrong, but the Mac wouldn't save it any other way!  RATS!

Terry's Coat

It is almost 1 PM, and I am just finishing sewing.  So much for lunch!  I made Terry a coat for Christmas.  My camera wouldn't do very good on the photos, but here are a few.  It says: Atnip Well & Pump Service, Terry Atnip.  The back has an elk with trees.  The front has the Ruger patch and a Browning emblem for the zipper pull.  The Elk on the back was Terry's idea.
I have another coat to make before Christmas too.  Sometimes I get so frustrated, because I want them to turn out looking really good, or perfect, and I just can't get them like I want them. WAH!!! ( If you click on each photo, you will get a better view of the details, and it isn't pink!!!!   It is red.)

Cody on Halloween

On Halloween, we went to Cody to look at a job.  Here are only 2 photos of our day.  These are for you, Pastor Rod, since you liked this place.  We lived right by this museum, but never have been there, and now, when we go, it is closed.  RATS!

WATER!

Until you have lived in the country and enjoyed a wonderful well with great tasting water, you might not appreciate this post.   I am so happy today, because we test pumped our house well, and it is doing around 30 gallons a minute, and the water tastes wonderful.  No more clorine!!!!!!!    No more running out of water at inopportune times, so more hauling water from town.  I can't wait.  He should have the lines into the house by this weekend if the Lord allows.  Terry guesses that it may be doing 30 gallons a minute, but he only had a smaller pump that he tested it with.  So, he knows it does at least 22 and more.   I am so thankful.

Deer Crunching!

It is common for us to have deer in our yard.  They will come right up to the door and stay out there when we are around.  I know it isn't common to everyone to see this, hence the photos.
I was standing so close to the second deer that I could hear here crunching her food!  Sorry about the photo quality.  The lighting wasn't right.  There were about 6 or so deer out in the  yard, when I was taking these pictures.
